4. The Thing That Brings You Back

I have been doing some writing lately, and I am really enjoying it.

Which, honestly, still surprises me. For someone diagnosed late in life with dyslexia, writing was never part of my everyday joys. But with the help of AI, something shifted. I can just rant, talk, think out loud and suddenly my thoughts look the way they sound in my head. It has brought me so much joy and confidence I didn't know I had in me.

So here I am. Living out loud.

What I've been writing about are my stories. The failures. The tough seasons. And the one thing I can see now, looking back, is that I always found my way back. Because somewhere along the way I found my anchors.

Family. Loyalty. Curiosity. Integrity.

The moments I feel the most lost are almost always the moments I've drifted from them. A friendship that stops feeling right. A season where I'm just going through the motions. That quiet, uncomfortable feeling of being untethered.

It's okay to feel lost.

Because the moments when you finally feel found those are the most profound moments of your life. That's not just relief. That's growth. That's you becoming someone a little newer, a little better, than before.

You can't get there without the lost part. That's the part nobody tells you.

That is why I write. That is why I live out loud.
